To my nurturers....
When shopping for a baby crib, safety should be your top priority. To ensure your baby is safe and comfortable while sleeping in the home, consider the following:
Sturdy construction: Look for a crib with strong, stable construction and no sharp edges or corners that could cause injury.
Proper mattress fit: Ensure the mattress fits snugly in the crib and is firm enough to provide support while still being soft enough for comfort.
Secure hardware: Check that all hardware used to assemble the crib is secure and free of sharp edges or burrs that could cause injury.
Recalls: Check for any recalls on the product before making a purchase.
Height of the crib: Make sure the crib is not too high, to prevent the baby from falling out.
Crib slats: The distance between the crib slats should be no more than 2-3/8 inches apart, to prevent the baby from getting trapped.
No loose items: Do not place any loose items in the crib such as toys, pillows, or loose bedding.
By following these safety tips, you can provide a safe and secure sleeping environment for your baby. Additionally, it's important to educate yourself on infant safety in the home and safe sleeping practices for infants to ensure your baby is always protected.
